About Life of Riley
The Life of Cole Riley
Originally from a small town in South Dakota, Cole Riley was raised on a cattle ranch, where he developed a strong work ethic alongside his family. Guided by a deep faith in God, he earned his Business degree from Charis Bible College and went on to work as a project manager, designing and building custom stone waterfalls and pool features for clients across the U.S. and internationally.
Cole’s faith has taken him around the world on mission trips throughout Africa and Europe, where he shared his passion for serving others and helping people discover their purpose. A visit to northern Michigan in his early 30s became a turning point. What began as a trip for a friend’s wedding led to a permanent move—and, through prayer and a meaningful conversation, a calling to serve the senior community. What started as finding the right place for his own mother to thrive soon grew into a larger vision. In 2023, Cole founded Life of Riley Senior Care with the opening of Life of Riley Meadows. That vision expanded in 2024 with the addition of Life of Riley Maples and Life of Riley Oaks, creating a family of homes dedicated to personalized, compassionate care.
Cole believes that purpose does not diminish with age. He is passionate about creating environments where seniors feel valued, connected, and truly at home—surrounded by care, community, and meaning.
Outside of Life of Riley, Cole enjoys spending time outdoors, playing pickleball and golf, and appreciating the beauty and local offerings of northern Michigan.
